Affiliated To The British Heart Foundation, A Registered Charity No. 225971 In England
Our President is; Dr. Guy Lloyd MBBS MD FRCP
Welcome to the Hailsham, Heathfield, Herstmonceux & District Cardiac Support Group, Just by looking at this site it tells us you are interested in cardiology, be it a patient, carer or Dr, You are all welcome.
This support group was founded because of the lack of support in the area, by people who have cardiac problems, you may have had a slightly blocked artery and required a stent or stents to be implanted to keep you going, or at the other end of the spectrum your heart rhythm may be out and you have needed either a Pacemaker or an ICD to be fitted, or even a Heart Bypass.
All are welcome

I am looking at reviving the former Eastbourne Group, that was there just for patients with ICD’s & Pacemakers, but that is not to say the group if I manage to resurrect it will be solely for ICD & Pacemaker patients, far from it!
This group will meet 3-4 per year, unless there is demand for more meetings, the venue has yet to be selected, BUT IT WILL BE EVENING MEETINGS, not just day meetings.
ARE YOU INTERESTED???
Please contact our Chair for more details, or e-mail him with your thoughts, Dates, Times, Venues etc.
IF THE DEMAND IS THERE, IT WILL GO AHEAD! So please watch these pages for up to date information

This year 2011 is the 50th Anniversary of the BHF & they need to raise £50m over 5 years to help finance a stem cell program, Sir Peter Blake, has donated a painting, that painting is being used on all manner of products to help assist the BHF in its goal, one of those products is a Badge/Pin.
I HAVE A LIMITED STOCK OF THREE STYLE OF PIN, Red Heart, Glitter Red Heart and the Sir Peter Blake 5 colour Pin

As previously reported, the group was hoping to have grown sufficiently to elect a committee, this alas did not happen, but time is on our side, we will elect said committee at the earliest possible opportunity.
This Group is and always will be led by the membership, if you would like to join a support group, but because of work you simply can not make it to our afternoon meetings, then please TELL US, I will do all I can to ensure that Cardiac Support reaches those who need it, or want it.
If there is enough of you that want an evening meeting, then I will arrange it, BUT YOU tell me where and when. It is a group for you, so I need your input.
For example, do you want just a ‘metal work’ group? By that i mean a group for those with Pacemakers & ICD’s.
Recently we entered into a sponsorship arrangement with a local company, that offers services to the Disabled.
A J Mobility, have two retail outlets, one in Bexhill, the other here in Hailsham, on the Diplocks Way Industrial Estate.
A Leaflet has been produced, and is now out in the community, if you do not see one, please come along to one of our monthly meetings, you may have one..
Should you decide to join the Cardiac group, then I Will stamp the Leaflet, and that will entitle the bearer to a discount of either 5 or 10% Dependant on your purchase, the leaflet will have all the details.
A brief pic of the flyer’s front cover is below.
Our thanks to AJ Mobility for there generosity.
So please, keep your business local, this company has been trading for over 27 years
